LOVELACE Armchair

From an early age, Ada Lovelace had a visionary mind. She wanted to prove the “Lovelace” concept could unite two apparently separate areas: mathematics and art. Ada believed mathematics such as proportion, rhythm and symmetry may be used to create beauty and harmony in art. Like this, the mathematician, worked with algorithms as forms of expression and aesthetics in her translation and annotating Babbage’s work. LOVELACE armchair was based on the harmonious union of the “lovelace” concept. The symmetrical lines of the pinewood structure merge with the appealing curves of the seat, creating a visual dance that captures the eye. The striped boucle fabric represents the connection between these two elements, playing with perception and inviting us to immerse ourselves in its rich and vibrant texture. Brass is the central detail, the link that brings LOVELACE to life, combining the piece in a timeless, unique and functional way.
